We couldn't find a free sofa to sit on during the trip. All sofas were occupied by individuals to lay on. I had to lay down on the floor and my two children had to lay down on the wooden table opposite the information desk window. I think passengers shouldn't be allowed to occupy the whole sofa for one person or three sofas for three passengers. If everyone has paid the same price, then all should share the facilities...

The crossing was fine. About 4 1/2 hours just spent reading and looking out the window or from deck. Arrival at Muckran(Sassnitz) could have been a problem had we not met a German girl on the ship(Sassnitz) as she had ordered a taxi and was happy for us to share it. We hadn't realised that there was no connecting bus at Sassnitz, indeed, it isn't actually Sassnitz, but Muckran, which is 7km from Sassnitz station.

The ferry was very comfortable and there were plenty of spare seats. It was not full but had relaxed atmosphere. Checking in was very easy at sassnitz and disembark the same. We were lucky that the sea was so calm as it was such a smooth crossing. We had lunch which was not too expensive. Fully recommend

The trip was perfectly on time and the staff extremely helpful. If I wanted to change anything, it would be the ability to chose which seats when you pre-order. Otherwise I am happy with me trip.

The services and the cleaning are ok. There is an annoying issue regarding the trip though. When I booked the ticket I was not allowed to book a seat or a room. That is why I had an very unpleasant trip due to the fact it was impossible to find a good seat.... Hope in the future there will be more option when I book the ticket.

"FOUR HOURS IN HELL"
We started our day in the extremely helpful Best Western Maginet Hotel overlooking the port, who provided a takeaway breakfast. That enabled us to arrive at the access road by 0630. The queue was very long, even to get to the check in point. We edged forward very slowly while enormous lorries roared past. Eventually the Sassnitz queue was separated from others. We were almost an hour in this queue. Why were there not two check in lines? On board we found very limited public sitting place. Lorry drivers were stretched out across seats, asleep. Stena staff took no action. Then the foot passengers arrived - lots of young families with nowhere to sit. Some brought seating in from the sun decks. Others failed to follow the rules about dogs, running around barking instead of being confined as required by Stena. This was by far the worst crossing we have ever made. The reserved seating was full - and even those lucky enough to have booked found their seats taken by others who hadn't. Of course we could have spent two hours having another breakfast, but then where would we sit? So we defended our corner in the cafe bar while out of control children played a game trying to pitch a half empty Coke bottle into the flap top recycling bins. I should say that the bar staff were friendly and helpful; I feel sorry for them having to put up with the chaos. Travel on this route again? Not likely. We'll try the competition next time.

I took this ferry on 3rd May 2017, returning on the 10th. Both trips left and arrived exactly on time. The food was excellent for the price. Pre-booked seating was comfortable. Only one very minor gripe, as a foot-passenger, the departure place at the Trelleborg end was not well signposted, it took me a while to find it. Other than that, the trip was extremely easy, and smooth.

"Dull trip for children"
The ferry between Trelleborg and Sassnitz has the advantage that it's a relatively short crossing. If you're travelling with children it could be a lot better though. The childrens area is minimal. If 8 children are there at the same time it's overcrowded. They have in addition to that made the shop bigger and therefore removed the tables around the play area. That makes it even harder for parents with small children to leave them there. I have older children and can sit further away, but would want to have more supervision over the children anyway. The quiz walk and the film that they show is exactly the same as when we travelled last year, which the children also point out. It can't be too expensive to have a few films to alternate between every week? You also have enough time to show two films during one crossing. A children's menu that is adjusted to children and the parents wallet would also be welcommed. Small cheap portions with vegetables, pasta (even without sauce!), chips or potatoes that you can combine however you want for example. Enough ice cream on the boat so that it won't run out when it's a hot day would also be expected. Stena Line, how hard could it be to take in some parents in a small group to come up with some ideas on how to put together an environment that promote playing for 4 hours so that the trip is relaxing for both parents and children? Parents who can relax more will surely shop more at the tax free shop. If you don't want families with children onboard you need to be more clear about it, as for now that is how you make us feel.

We had two successful sailings this summer, where we were attending our daughter's graduation from Medical School in Poland. Efficient embarking and disembarking. The pre-booked food/buffet was most satisfacory (breakfast and lunch). The morning sailing with 07:45 departure where we were asked to be at the port 90 min early was a bit too early. The hotel we stayed at said that 30 min would be enough time and it was. Have a nice summer.

The travell in windy day was safe. For travellers I recommend to take very fast seats on the comfortable sofas what makes the travell more pleasure. The deparute and arrival time was very accurate.

Our trip was nice, the boat wasn't crowded which of course was convenient. The taco buffe was good and worth the money. The shop is well-stocked and you always find something to buy! The weather was great which of course contributed to a nice trip!

We took the ferry (Sassnitz) from Sassnitz to Trelleborg recently and would certainly do the same again. Only next time we will bring our own food and beverages, as the quality of catering on board is horrid.

Departure from Sassnitz, perhaps a bit early because we missed breakfast in our hotel. But the breakfast buffet on board was very good and we were left in peace to enjoy the food with no rush. We have sailed this journey twice before and we are very happy with it. This time it was lovely coming back to Trelleborg a bit earlier during the day as the distance to Trondheim from Trelleborg is substantial.

After a little "tough" check-in in Sassnitz harbor, my wife and I experienced a wonderful voyage to Trelleborg with super punctual arrival. During the trip we enjoyed the well stocked and reasonably priced breakfast buffet.

The trip was uneventful, loading and unloading of vehicles was efficient. The real problem was food. The cafeteria provided a breakfast buffet for 99 SKR. It was not very interesting and if you wanted something later in the morning you would have to pay the same again. The coffee was awful.

We have booked a crossing for 12.45 clock departure Trelleborg to Sassnitz in March on the Internet. When we arrived in Trelleborg on 13/09/13 at 12.00 clock, we got a ferry ticket: 15.00 clock. On demand, it was the 12:45 ferry was cancled. Unfortunately, we were not informed in advance by mail about it, otherwise you could have save 3 hours of waiting time in port and the morning stress with the departure of Stockholm. That was very annoying.

Positive: Check In friendly and fast. Punctual arrival. Deluxe cabin on the Mecklenburg Vorpommern large and well equipped (except the bathroom). negative: Boarding until immediately prior to departure. It is therefore eternal in the parking lot. Cabins at the overnight crossing very expensive. Bar at the Mecklenburg Vorpommern closed in the restaurant long queue. Drink a beer again quickly was not possible. Bathroom Deluxe cabin small and old. Shower very small and with a shower curtain, which constantly stick to the body. In summary, it must be said that both ships, Mecklenburg Vorpommern and Sassnitz, are getting on in years. You can not reach by far the comfort and amenities of the ferries to England, for example, Zeebrugge-Hull or Rotterdam Hull.

It comes with the ship on time from Sassnitz to Trelleborg and back. But that's about it. The seating is old and uncomfortable. All equipment is getting old. The catering is reminiscent of a run-down canteen. The selection is small and overpriced. The staff can arrange all this for nothing and gave their best. This is also different and cheaper to do to prove other boats from other companies (unfortunately on other routes). Here is just good earned by Stena Line money. Alternative for me next time: Rostock-Gedser and Oresund Bridge (price along the same).

I must say, for me it was the first time and has everything worked out great! The ferry is on time off and punctually arrived! The toilets are a bit dated and could be a little cleaner! The rest of the ship was fine and clean. What I find, however, somewhat exaggerated, is the coffee-price of 3.05 € for the cup! I think the prices would be somewhat more moderate, even more people would eat and drink! On the Mass then probably still more profit would be made, as if only a few buy the expensive! Otherwise, I really liked and was for me the driver, a nice relaxation phase at a moderate price! Would never drive differently to Sweden!

We wanted to during the crossing stretch out a little bit because we had a long drive before and after. So we booked a cabin for 30 €, we had no great expectations, but this cabin is unreasonable. Filthy, Stinky, shabby, sanitary system is a catastrophe. the bunk beds smelled like cheese or something like that, when you lie down, you definitely know that in 2006, someone has been immortalized with a pen in the chipboard. Among the other entries and dried liquids I do not want here . Write My wife has fled, " not a minute they stay longer here " There are two restaurants, in the back is served and there is an excellent buffet with very friendly staff highlight is a blonde waitress in the middle years. Very friendly with a small tour guide. She has reconciled us with the ride. Never recommended cabin again and in no case.

In two trips I have criticisms of the order on the ferry. Many guests sleep on the seats and thus block several places, so that except in the restaurant area seats hardly were available. We drove from Sassnitz to Trelleborg ferry about 4 hours. We made punctually and on time again. The food was good and you had choices. For children it is recommended to take sufficient toys, even if there is a small play area.

The ship was busy with my crossing only about 50%. Whether this fact has promoted the smooth organization and whether it would be at a 100% utilization well just expired, I can not judge.

Stena Line offers basic transfer by ferry between Sweden and Germany and that's about it. Not meaning in negative way. Of course there are cabins if needed, shops and restaurants. One negative thing is the amount of deck chairs and the usage of those. There are few of them and people tend to have them as beds; meaning taking several places. What about when it is cold outside? Where you can sit?

In spite of previous purchase of a Flex Tickets in connection with the booking of a ferry I had 60, - to pay extra because I have rather taken a ferry on the day of travel. Prices have risen significantly since Stena Line. The ship (Sassnitz) is old and looked unkempt. The Trelleborg is even worse. For four hours Crossing makes you no claims if the price fits. if you want to travel Spontaneous they rip you off properly at Stena Line! That it is possible at a cheaper price, proved to me on the way back TT-Line. The ship was fine and the price was much cheaper (nearly 100, - €) although the distance is longer. So, steer clear of Stena Line!

It did not seem to be air-conditioned inside. The standard of food and selection of food was poor. We had to ask for more cutlery. Overall standard mediocre.

My family and I got a positiv feeling concerning the crossings (there and back) with the FS Sassnitz. Travelling by ferry to Sweden is always better than to take the overland route. What we do not found good was the following: driving on the ferry with the car running very hectic from approximately 3 min after entering the ship left there and on the way back from Trelleborg I as motorists got yelled loudly from a parking attendants on the ship , quote: 'Come now, come old there's a meter square" "(which was more than polite and inappropriate in any way, he was two feet away from me and I am determined not with 35 hard of hearing) furthermore, it was not possible to use the baby changing room on the return trip, as it was used by drunk passengers as a sleeping place, all in all I can the night ferry not recommended because they "" overloaded "by drunken passengers" was, they really were everywhere! !

Basically, we found the crossing easier and better than the Scandlines Rostock to Gedser. Therefore we would decide again for this connection. also, we found very pleasant that we had the opportunity for an earlier ferry to book at the port. we know from experience that you can not plan ever so exactly ones return. For this flexibility, we are grateful., but on the return trip, there were a lot of passengers, which one could expect that they break in the cars during the crossing. What would happen in such cases: If someone gets himself locked below deck and then clears out the cars, who is responsible in such cases? in today's times and with today's passangers all of this can happen to anyone. All necessary actions before the board-have went extremely smoothly. Very enjoyable, so many different spaces to enjoy the journey: eating and drinking, looking, or dozing a little in peace. Good selection of food and drink, brightly interior. A very pleasant change from Scandinavia to mainland Europe!

I would personally appeal for a fast ferry, the four hours are already pretty long. Otherwise it was OK except for the non-working electrical outlets in my cabin.

One good option to travel from Germany to Sweden is to take the night ferry. We recommend this if you are travelling a long way by car to your destination. The ferry is not a luxury one but its okay. The check in and the embarkation: Worked smoothly. Even though the signs to the check in were not that good, it was very bad infact. But we just guessed it was to the left… and came right! (Not language misunderstanding, just bad description.) Allocation of the cabin and the cabin: Smooth, just to get the keys from the information desk. Nice crew. The cabin (2 berth inside) was not a luxury one, but it was ok. One big negative was that the furniture and the carpet needs to be cleaned or just new ones. But the sheets were fresh. Overall on-board: Pretty boring environment, but functional. One small store with alcohol, perfume and sweats. The food was also pretty boring, even though we didn’t eat anything, we could see it looked dry. The breakfast on the other way was good and worth the money. Disembarkation: No problem. You can see that the crew is used to the disembark.
